Exacting Requirements Fulfilled

News release of GIW Industries (from ThomasNet):

Mining is Mongolia's most important industry. In January 2007, KSB's subsidiary GIW supplied one of the largest slurry pumps ever installed in a copper mine. The extremely robust pump was built with state-of-the-art KSB technology for the Erdenet mine in order to increase production output in the medium and long term. Per hour, the horizontally installed centrifugal slurry pump is capable of handling up to 15,000 cubic metres of tailings left over from copper production.

Pumps are designed for severe, mill-duty applications

ThomasNet brings a news release of GIW Industries:

Used in hard rock mining, MDX series has low specific speed that provides stable operations by harnessing variable flow conditions confronted in modern mills. Stable flow in combination with optimum head/quantity and efficiency curve ensures efficient mill operation. Also, optimal BEP ensures stable sump level over large flow variations, operational efficiency, and equipment life. Pumps also incorporates slurry diverter technology matched with adjustable suction liner design.
