New law in Florida requires energy-efficient pool pumps

From Orlando Business Journal: A new law signed by Florida Gov. Charlie Crist Wednesday requires new pool pumps purchased after July 1, 2011, to be capable of operating at multiple speeds to conserve energy. Most pool pumps currently operate at a single one-horsepower speed, according to a release.

Roto Pumps Reports Q4 Standalone Net At Rs.101 Lakhs

From RTTNews: Roto Pumps, Indian manufacturer of Progressive Cavity Pumps and Twin Screw Pumps, said that the net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 rose to Rs.101.30 lakhs from Rs.56.40 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Total income increased to Rs.1, 396.00 lakhs from Rs.1, 062.50 lakhs in the year ago quarter.

The company posted net profit of Rs.303.20 lakhs in the year ended March 31, 2008 compared to Rs.204.10 lakhs in the year ago. Total income grew to Rs.4, 245.10 lakhs from Rs.3, 422.60 lakhs in the previous year.
