Fresno's Grundfos Pumps gives $100k grant to CART

From fresnobee.com: The Center for Advanced Research and Technology in Clovis is getting a $100,000 grant through Grundfos Pumps Corp., which operates a pipe-manufacturing plant in Fresno.

CART earned the grant in a competitive program offered through the charitable arm of the Denmark-based company. A check will be presented tonight during a CART board meeting. The grant will help CART pay for its water and environmental technology programs and add equipment, said Devin Blizzard, CART's chief executive officer. "Engineering a sustainable and reliable Central Valley depends upon our collective investment in future engineers," he said.

Deep Down and Bornemann Pumps Announce Strategic Alliance in the Gulf of Mexico

From Beaumont Enterprise: Deep Down (OTC QB: DPDW) and Bornemann Pumps announced the formation of a strategic alliance to provide high-quality subsea pumping packages and services to the Gulf of Mexico subsea oil and gas industry.

As part of the alliance, Deep Down will manage the overall project management, subsea engineering, local support functions and fabrication of the subsea structures. Bornemann will handle system and process engineering, fabrication of the subsea pumps and hydraulic control modules; both parties will work together on other technical aspects of the projects, as needed.
