Lawrence Pumps Selects Certeon for WAN Optimization Deployment at 25 Percent Lower TCO than Other Leading Vendors

From BusinessWire: New data creation within global enterprises will increase at rates of more than 60 percent per year (IDC, 2010) for the remainder of this decade, yet over 90 percent of organizations’ employees have to use latency hampered WAN links for accessing this new centralized data. Lawrence Pumps Inc., an industrial pump manufacturing leader for critical industrial services, recognized this user productivity challenge and selected Certeon’s software WAN optimization product, aCelera, to give the organizations’ employees the ability to access their data as if it were on their desktops. aCelera is the linchpin solution for Lawrence Pumps’ growing data access issue.

“When it came time to open a new office in India, we started exploring other WAN Optimization options and found that Certeon’s solution was 25 percent less than the cost of the Citrix Branch Repeater”

Lawrence Pumps is using Certeon’s aCelera software to replace a hardware WAN optimization product from Citrix because Certeon is 25 percent less expensive and provides superior performance as a software solution. Also, Lawrence Pumps is licensing Certeon aCelera using an OpEx-budget based model, freeing them from traditional WAN optimization vendor pricing approaches that require large upfront CapEx expenditures associated with a perpetual license model.
