From ThomasNet: Bi-directional double Cartex® GSDN gas seals can be installed to standardize new centrifugal pumps at chemical plants and refineries or recondition existing pumps. Using HR principle as characteristic design feature, seals produce self-cleaning effect that prevents contamination and increases operational reliability.

Width of sliding faces ensure gas film stability, while silicon carbide face materials and DLC coating ensure optimal performance in continuous operation.
