Flowserve Announces Multimillion-Dollar Valve Orders from China Nuclear Power Engineering Co. and China Nuclear Energy Industry Corp.

From Flowserve: Flowserve Corporation (NYSE: FLS), a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, today announced two multimillion-dollar orders from China Nuclear Power Engineering Co. Ltd. (CNPE) and China Nuclear Energy Industry Corp. (CNEIC) for main steam isolation valves (MSIVs).

The Flowserve Edward MSIVs are planned to be used at the CPR-1000 design Fuqing Units 3 and 4, and Tianwan Units 5 and 6. All four units are currently under construction and scheduled to be operational in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Flowserve booked the orders in the third quarter of 2010.

Flowserve receives valves order for NPUs

From Valve World: Flowserve Corp. has announced that it has received more than USD 45 million in orders from Westinghouse Electric Co. for four AP1000TM units at two new nuclear power plant sites under construction in the USA.

Awarded in the third quarter, Flowserve will provide critical safety-related valves, electric motor actuators, and non-safety-related control, ball and plug valves for the Westinghouse AP1000TM nuclear power plants.

Colfax Corp. expects slow sales growth

From the Richmond Times-Dispatch: Colfax Corp., the Richmond-based maker of industrial pumps and valves, today said sales for 2009 are expected to slow significantly.

The company said organic sales growth for 2008 is expected to be end up at about 14 percent, in line with the company's low double-digit organic growth expectation for the year.For 2009, the company anticipates organic sales growth will be in the range of 1 percent to 3 percent.

Flowserve Chief Executive Lewis M. Kling Exercises Options for 46,499 Shares

Associated Press reports that Lewis M. Kling, the president and chief executive of Flowserve Corp., which makes pumps and valves for the energy sector, exercised options for 46,499 shares of stock under a prearranged trading plan, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Flowserve to pay $10.5 million in penalties

Waxahachie Daily Light reports that Flowserve Corp., a maker of pumps and valves for the energy sector, has agreed to pay more than $10.5 million in penalties for making illegal kickbacks through the United Nations' oil-for-food program, the Justice Department said Thursday.
